Green Careers Day

The Vineyard Energy Project will hold the first Green Careers Day at the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School on Wednesday, April 29th.

The event will run from 8 am - 11 am.

Representatives from various environmental and clean energy organizations will speak to high school students about their options for work and study in the rapidly growing fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental protection.

 

Energy Forum

Join officials from the MA Department of Energy Resources for an Energy Forum hosted by Sen. Robert O'Leary, Rep. Tim Madden and the Vineyard Energy Project.

The forum will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Katharine Cornell Theater in Vineyard Haven.  All members of the community are invited.  The discussion will include the Green Communities Act.  

 

Speed of Light Solar Car Race

The Vineyard Energy Project will hold the annual Solar Car Race on Saturday May 2, 2009 at the Boys and Girls Club in Edgartown. The race will begin at noon. Join nearly 100 teams of sixth grade students from all island schools to see whose car can harness the most power from the sun!

 

Living Local Harvest Fest

The Living Local Harvest Fest is an annual event to promote local solutions to our energy and food needs.

A speaker will be featured on Friday night, Oct. 2. Exhibitors, panels, music and events will take place at the new Ag Hall on Saturday, Oct. 3. Living Local is held in collaboration with the Island Grown Initiative, the Vineyard Conservation Society and the MV Agricultural Society.
